Materials: The Front Chassis is a nice chunk of metal, but the rest of the parts in this stage are plastic.
Build
Front Chassis
Step 01
Fit the Front Left Chassis Part to the underside of the Front Chassis as shown, and secure it into place with one (1) EM screw.
There is an alignment pin on the Front Left Chassis Part to align this correctly. This is also your friendly reminder to try using 3-in-One Oil on all screws going into metal:
Fit the Front Right Chassis Part to the opposite end of the Front Chassis as shown, and secure with one (1) EM screw.
There is also an alignment pin on the Front Right Chassis Part to align this correctly.
Step 02
Retrieve your Chassis assembly from the previous stage. Turn over the Front Chassis assembly (from the previous step) and fit it to the front of the Chassis assembly. Align the four screw holes and secure these parts together with four (4) DM screws, as shown:
Step 03
Turn the entire Chassis assembly over. Fit the Front Left Chassis Skeleton to this location on the Front Chassis as shown, and secure into place with one (1) HM screw:
Fit the Front Right Chassis Skeleton to this location on the Front Chassis as shown, and secure into place with one (1) HM screw:
This stage is now complete, this is what we have so far:
Thoughts
I enjoyed this stage as we are beginning to extend the base chassis plate. I did not run into any problems either, which is always good news.
