“In this stage, you assemble the left rear reflector and fit the outer light lens.”

The steps in this stage will be similar to those we did on the other side of the car in Stage 108.

Materials: All of these parts are plastic.

Build

Left Rear Reflector and Outer Light

Step 01

Fit the Left Rear Reflector Outer Lens into the inside of the Left Rear Reflector Housing, as shown.

While it doesn’t matter which side faces down here, there is a small notch in the Lens that matches up to a small tab of the Housing (circled below):

Cover the Outer Lens with the Left Rear Reflector Cup as shown, then secure it into place with two (2) AP screws:

Fit the Left  Rear Inner Lens to the outside of the Housing as shown, and then secure it into place with three (3) RP screws.

One side of this Inner Lens is textured. I fit mine with the texture facing outwards – it just looked more interesting this way:

Step 02

Retrieve your Left Rear Fender Crown assembly from the previous stage. Gently, but firmly, press the Left Rear Outer Light Lens into the Left Rear Outer Light Housing, as shown.

This should be a press-fit connection. Do not be tempted to use super glue here as it can cause the clear plastic to cloud up:

Thoughts

I don’t know what it is, but these parts are just so iconic to me – I love them!
