Build
Horns & Junction Box
Step 01
Fit the two Radiator Beam Struts to the Radiator Beam as shown, and secure them with two (2) DM screws (one for each).
There is an alignment hole on each Radiator Beam Strut that matches pins on the Radiator Beam to keep these straight. But, make sure the free ends are orientated as per the photo below. This is also your friendly reminder to try using 3-in-One Oil on all screws going into metal:
Step 02
Fit the Junction Box Cover on top of the Junction Box, as shown and secure with one (1) HP screw:
There is an alignment pin on the Junction Box Cover that aligns to a hole on the Junction Box Cover:
Fit this Junction Box assembly to the Radiator Beam as shown, and secure it into place with two (2) EM screws.
There are two notches in the Radiator Beam where the tabs of the Junction Box assembly fit into:
Step 03
Fit the Engine Left Front Wall to this end of the Radiator Beam as shown, securing it in place with two (2) DM screws.
There is a notch in this Engine Left Front Wall that fits over the left-side Radiator Beam Strut:
Fit the Engine Right Front Wall to this end of the Radiator Beam as shown, securing it in place with two (2) DM screws.
There is a notch in this Engine Right Front Wall that fits over the right-side Radiator Beam Strut:
Step 04
Fit the two locating pins of a Horn to the matching holes in one of the Horn Bases.
The locating pins can fit two ways, ensure these parts are aligned as shown:
Align the pin of Horn Bracket 1 (the L-shaped one) to the front of the Horn, aligning the pin, and secure all of these parts together with one (1) HP screw, as shown:
Attach this first Horn assembly to the Engine Left Front Wall as shown, with one (1) HP screw.
There is an pin on the Horn Bracket 1 to align this correctly:
Fit the two pins of the second Horn to the matching holes in the remaining Horn Base.
Again, the locating pins can fit two ways, ensure these parts are aligned as shown:
Align the pin of Horn Bracket 2 to the front of this Horn, aligning the pin, and secure all of these parts together with one (1) HP screw, as shown:
Attach this first Horn assembly to the Engine Left Front Wall as shown (just below the first Horn), with one (1) HP screw:
There is an pin on the Horn Bracket 2 to align this correctly:
Step 05
Retrieve your Radiator assembly from the previous stage. Fit it to the Engine Front Walls as shown, and secure with four (4) DP screws:
Step 06
Retrieve your Chassis assembly. Fit one end of the Cable over this pin on the Generator assembly:
Thoughts
We added quite a few details to the front wall of the engine bay, but those horns were a little tricky to get aligned correctly.
