Right Exhaust Pipe
Step 01
With the screw holes of the Right Muffler Bottom facing you, fit the tab end of the Right Rear Exhaust Pipe to this location and secure into place with one (1) IP screw. The ‘R’ on the tab of the Right Rear Exhaust Pipe should be facing up:
Fit the tab end of the Right Front Intermediate Pipe to the other side of the Right Muffler Bottom and secure with one (1) IP screw, as shown:
Fit the Right Muffler Top and secure it onto the Right Muffler Bottom with two (2) IP screws, as shown.
Be sure not to attach this backwards; this outer pin (arrow below) should be in this location:
Fit the ‘cut’ end of the Right Outlet Pipe to the free end of the Right Front Intermediate Pipe, and secure with one (1) HP screw.
This screw should be inserted from the side with the circular recess, as shown:
Step 02
Retrieve your Chassis assembly and turn it over. Secure the Right Front Exhaust Pipe to the Right Exhaust Manifold (from Stage 8) with one (1) AP screw, as shown.
The ring-shaped tab of the Right Front Exhaust Pipe slides in between the engine and exhaust and fits in behind the Right Exhaust Manifold. I left my screwdriver attached here to you can see how I got to this screw (under the steering arm):
Push the hole in the end of the Right Rear Exhaust Pipe (from the previous step) onto the pin of the Right Front Exhaust Pipe:
Fit the post on the Muffler into this socket in the Front Middle Chassis…
… and secure the Muffler from the other side with one (1) CP screw:
Fit the post on the Right Outlet Pipe into this socket in the Rear Chassis…
… and secure the Right Outlet Pipe from the other side with one (1) IP screw:
Step 03
Fit the Right Front Muffler Bracket (marked ‘L1’) over the Right Rear Exhaust Pipe, align the pin and screw hole, and secure with one (1) GM screw as shown.
This is your friendly reminder to try using 3-in-One Oil on all screws going into metal:
Fit the Right Rear Muffler Bracket (marked ‘R1’) over the Right Front Intermediate Pipe, align the pin and screw hole, and secure with one (1) GM screw as shown:
Fit the Right Front Intermediate Pipe Bracket to the Middle Chassis, aligning the center pin and trapping the exhaust pipe underneath, as shown:
Secure the Right Front Intermediate Pipe Bracket to the chassis with one (1) EM screw in the outer hole…
… and one (1) BM screw in the inner hole:
Thoughts
This stage was the same process as the previous one, just on the other side of the car. As before, we did not use the Right Rear Exhaust Bracket in this stage, but it will be needed in Stage 33 so keep it safe for now.
