“In this stage, you fit the window frame to the right rear door.”

This stage will be the same as Stage 86, just on the other side of the car.

Materials: The Window Frame Left/Right/Top Skirtings are metal – the rest is plastic.

Build

Right Rear Door Window Frame

Step 01

Peel the Sticker from the backing paper and apply it to the inside lower edge of the Right Rear Door Window Frame, as shown. These will keep the window from getting scratched as it is opened and closed.

I tried to place this so the top edge of the Sticker would not be visible from outside the door:

Retrieve your Right Rear Door assembly from the previous stage. Fit this Right Rear Door Window Frame into the window opening of the Right Rear Door from the outside, as shown:

Slide the three tabs of the Window Frame Bottom Skirting down between the Right Rear Door Window Frame and the Right Rear Door.

As with the other doors, this part will only fit one way:

Secure the upper section of the Right Rear Door Window Frame into place from inside the door with five (5) OP screws, as shown:

Align the holes of the Window Frame Bottom Skirting tabs and the lower section of the Right Rear Door Window Frame together and secure both of them to the Right Rear Door with three (3) TM screws, as shown.

Step 02

Peel the Window Frame Top Skirting from the backing paper and fit it down into the groove along the outer top edge of the Right  Rear Door, as shown:

Peel the Window Frame Left Skirting and Window Frame Right Skirting from their backing paper and fit them down into the grooves along each side of Right Rear Door, as shown:

Thoughts

I actually enjoy putting this Skirting onto the model when we don’t have to bend it!
