I have heard about this Eaglemoss 1:8 scale Ghostbusters Ecto-1 partwork build-up for a while now. But, the time has finally come. Starting at the end of this month, we should start receiving the first stages of this build. I am looking forward to sharing it all with you!
UPDATE Jan 30, 2020: I have received my shipping confirmation of Stages 1 and 2! A week or so from now and the site build begins!
UPDATE Feb 5, 2020: The first stages have arrived, but I am waiting on a few mods from Mike Lane before I begin. Should be soon!
My first packet is on the way as well! It was a bit of a letdown to hear that USA builders will not be getting the proton packs, but maybe EM will reconsider. I’m excited and nervous to get started!
We don’t know that for sure yet. In the subscription terms for the US, it has the following text, so let’s wait and see!
* You may also receive special subscribers-only offers and shipments of selected items to complement your collection. You will receive details and pricing in advance to inform us if you want to opt-out of receiving these.
This is a fantastic website. Thank you for doing this!
Do you think you’ll be compiling a list of the most glaring discrepancies? Maybe two separate lists, one focusing on aesthetic appearance issues (i.e. the large screws being visible on the hood vents), and the other focusing on clear inaccuracies (i.e. the front light bar being too long)?
Thanks for visiting! I do know about many of the inaccuracies to the original movie prop and will mention them along the build. Eaglemoss obviously used the restored Ecto-1 to base this model on, so I will focus on the car from the first film.
