If there is one thing that Mike Lane does right, it is adding the smallest details. Here, we have his new Delco Battery Sleeve mod for this 1:8 scale Ghostbusters Ecto-1 partwork build-up:

The mod consists of an embossed piece of pre-scored metal that will give our Ecto-1’s main battery a beautiful textured body:

Installation

NOTE: This can be installed anytime after Stage 26 when the Battery arrives. However, I was already through Stage 58, so I had to do a bit of disassembly to get the Battery out of the car. See Stage 26 for details on removing the Radiator Beam assembly to get to it.

This is one of the easiest mods to install! I simply started by removing some of the backing paper to expose the adhesive and bent one corner along the score lines, as shown:

Next, I fit the Battery tightly into this nook.

Then, it was as easy as removing the rest of the backing paper and folding the sleeve around the Battery. That’s it!

With this modified Battery installed back into the vehicle, it looks incredible! Thanks Mike!
