As we have been building up the Dashboard of our 1:8 scale Ghostbusters Ecto-1, you may have noticed that some of the bits have been lacking in detail. This is especially evident with the Gentec 525 Antenna and Radio Receiver on the top of the passenger side. Thankfully, our friends over at Scaled Modz are now producing an Interior Mod Set 1 that improves on a few of these parts.
All of these new bits are solid 3-D printed pieces with custom paintwork. Three of them have self-adhesive tape already in place ready to install. If you put the new mod parts near the stock pieces, you can really see the quality improvement:
Remove the six (6) screws holding the stock Gentec 525 Antenna and Radio Receiver to the Dashboard Upper Panel. Stick the modded parts into place, as shown.
I needed to glue the new Gentec in place, but the adhesive tape on the scanner worked just fine:
On the underside of the dash, to the right of the Steering Column, stick the new switch panel in place:
Finally, stick the new heater core to the underside of the dash, right in the center, but behind the opening for the glove box.
This piece looks SO much better than the stock one (which EM calls Speakers and is way too small):
Before we can use this modded Dashboard, we should take out the stock ‘Speakers‘. Simply remove the screw from the underside and take this part out of your Front Inner Floor assembly:
That was a very simple and easy mod to install! The paint work is amazing, which goes right along with the incredible detail that Corrie at Scaled Modz is known for. I appreciate this small improvement to my build, thank you!

Glad you liked the interior mod set Todd.
As usual your instruction is very clear and shows the Modz perfectly.
Hi can I puy this
You can email them at email@example.com.
I don’t think they have an on line store.
When I tried ScaledModz.com, nothing came up. I think they do everything through social media (Facebook)
Shame…I would be interested in buying their mods as well.
Yeah, you have to contact him via his Facebook page.
Whats the going price for this? Can’t seem to find it on his FB page.
